HORNE is a professional services firm founded on the cornerstone of public accounting. As a top 30 accounting firm, our CPA heritage brings trust and discipline to our brand. We made strategic choices to bring us the talent, skills and mindset to solve our clients' biggest issues.

At Horne, I had the opportunity to be part of six successful projects that significantly contributed to disaster relief and recovery efforts. My role primarily involved developing and maintaining five front-facing mobile apps in collaboration with various government bodies and counties.

These apps were designed to facilitate efficient disaster relief and recovery disbursement, ensuring a smooth user experience for affected communities. In addition to building the mobile applications, I played a crucial role in developing a secure portal for government agents. This portal allowed agents to access and interact with submitted applications, streamlining the workflow and improving overall efficiency in disaster management. One of my notable achievements at Horne was leading the technical team tasked with rebuilding the overall platform of Smartsheets, a tool we had initially paid for, transforming it into a customized internal tool for the organization. By improving this platform, I helped optimize internal processes and increased productivity within the team.

Proving my leadership skills repeatedly, I was invited to participate in a six-month internal project management course, from which I successfully graduated. This experience further honed my project management abilities and reinforced my capacity to lead complex technical projects. Overall, my tenure at Horne involved a combination of front-end and back-end development, collaboration with government bodies, leading technical projects, and enhancing internal tools. These experiences allowed me to hone my skills in mobile app development, portal creation, and technical leadership, contributing to the successful completion of key projects.
